Maintain a 230 V supply and manage battery charging through one unit connected to shore power, a generator and the battery bank.
The CombiMaster 12/2000-60 combines a true-sine inverter, a 3-step+ charger and a 10 ms automatic transfer system. Power Assist supplements a limited shore connection or generator with battery power.
Key benefits
- Continuous supply: Automatically changes between shore or generator input and inverter output.
- Starting power: Delivers 1600 W continuously, 2400 W for 30 seconds and 3200 W for 5 seconds.
- Controlled charging: Provides up to 60 A at 14.25 V with the battery-temperature sensor included.
- Integrated monitoring: Supports MasterBus, CZone and NMEA 2000 monitoring and control.
Compatibility and installation
- Compatible with 12 V battery banks operating within 10.2–16 V. Recommended capacity for this model is 120–600 Ah; select the dedicated charging profile for the installed battery chemistry.
- AC input accepts 90–280 V, with output derating below 170 V. Output is 230 V and frequency is configurable to 50 or 60 Hz.
- The charger supports flooded, Gel, AGM and Mastervolt MLI batteries through the corresponding 3-step+ profile.
- Connect the battery with 70 mm² DC cables for runs below 3 m or 95 mm² for runs from 3 to 5 m. Fit properly crimped M8 cable lugs.
- Install a 200 A fuse in the positive cable close to the battery. Connect the negative cable directly to the battery-bank negative terminal or the ground side of the shunt; do not use the chassis as the negative conductor.
- Route the positive and negative cables together and keep the run as short as possible to limit voltage drop and electromagnetic fields.
- For AC wiring use at least 2.5 mm² up to 20 A or 4 mm² from 20 to 32 A. Increase by one cable size when the run exceeds 3 m.
- Protect both AC input and output with an RCD and circuit breaker. Connect the CombiMaster PE/GND terminal to the hull or chassis through the M6 ground stud.
- Mount vertically to retain IP23 protection, indoors, with 10 cm clearance on every side. Do not install directly above a lead-acid battery or inside a closed, damp, salty or unventilated compartment.
- MasterBus control uses SmartRemote or EasyView 5. CZone/NMEA 2000 control uses Touch 5 or Touch 10, and compatible third-party NMEA 2000 multifunction displays are supported.
