The gWind Wireless 2 transducer offers an easy-to-install solution that eliminates cables that pass through masts up to 15 m (50 ft). Precise wind signals are sent through an ANT® connection directly to a GNX™ Wind instrument or to Garmin’s compatible GPSMAP® 8400 or 7400 plotters. The transducer includes its famous Nexus® double fin technology with a 3-blade propeller, which provides precise wind speed and a stable wind angle in mild wind conditions. It is also available in wind and navigation packages (sold separately) that can be used as independent or expanded wind systems with complete network systems through NMEA 2000®.

FAQs
Use the compatible instrument’s settings to adjust the angle based on installation orientation.
Mount on a horizontal surface at the masthead and ensure the device is oriented parallel to the boat’s center line. Use a shim if no horizontal surface is available.
If unpaired, the sensor auto-searches for compatible devices. Refer to your specific Garmin device’s manual for wireless pairing instructions.
Remove the wind transducer and store it in a dry and preferably light-exposed location to maintain battery charge.
Use a mild soap solution to clean the transducer and rinse with water. Do not use detergents or high-pressure water.
If stored in darkness, replace the battery at the beginning of each season.
