Use the Garmin GNA 10 to connect an adjustment lever to our Reactor 401 autopilots on boats with a displacement helmet. An adjustment lever is a sturdy and simple steering control for work boats and trawlers. Adjust the course control with the adjustment lever by pressing it to the right or left, or put the autopilot in the new power steering mode to move the rudder without the autopilot guide. Optionally, the GNA 10 can also be connected to a button and an LED light to allow the change between the course control and the standby mode2. Garmin does not provide the adjustment lever, the button or the LED light.

FAQs

How do I configure the GNA 10 after installation?

Configuration is performed through a connected helm control or compatible chartplotter using the NMEA 2000 Device List.

How should the wiring pairs be connected when installing devices to harness A or B?

Always connect devices using both the positive (+) and negative (-) wires of each input/output pair for proper operation.

What type of indicator lights can be used with the regulated output?

Most LED indicator lights can be used without installing a current limiter; the output is regulated to 22 mA max.

How should wire extensions be performed for harness connections?

Use 24 AWG (0.2 mm²) wire for extending harness connections, and connect using solder and heat-shrink tubing.

How is the GNA 10 connected to the boat’s network?

The GNA 10 must be connected to the same NMEA 2000 network as the autopilot system components.

Where can the GNA 10 be connected to the NMEA 2000 network?

The device must be connected to the same NMEA 2000 network as the other Garmin autopilot components for proper operation.
